Research Participants for Testicular Prosthesis Survey

Testicular Prosthesis Research Study

Urology residents, from the University of Buffalo, are looking for participants in their research survey on testicular prosthesis.

If your partner or if you have a testicular prosthesis, then we hope you can participate. Please see their invitation below.

 Dear Testicular Cancer Society member(s),

We would like to invite you and your partners to complete a voluntary survey.

As urology residents we have a vested interest in testicular cancer survivors’ perspectives. We have found a large gap in research assessing the perspective of testicular cancer survivors’ partners and the decision to undergo testicular prosthesis implantation after orchiectomy.

For this reason, our survey is aimed at this partner of a survivor population. We intend to use your responses to gain insight on your personal perceptions and opinions regarding the prosthesis as well as how it has changed important aspects of you and your partner’s lives. (i.e. patients and patients’ loved ones).

The survey should only take about 1-2 minutes of your time and we assure you that you will remain anonymous in this process, allowing you to put your privacy concerns at ease and answer all questions truthfully.

The survey may be accessed at:

Thank you in advance for all of the volunteers who take the time to complete this survey. We truly value the information you will provide and feel your responses are instrumental to our analyses of partners’ views on testicular prostheses.

If you have any questions regarding the study or plans of use for the information gathered feel free to contact me directly at We are here to help and support you through this process.

Best Regards,
